Remember When I Had a Blog?

I know I've neglected my blog and its whole two post, but there's been a good reason. It's because, well... frankly, I've been neglecting my art and abandon all the projects that I've started in the past two-plus years. Okay, so maybe it's not that good of a reason.

So what has brought me back here after all this time to create a third post? It was an actual interview for an internship. I don't think I got it, but it was enough to light that fire under my ass to get to work and do something that I've forgotten I loved doing. So I modeled my glasses. It's somewhat crude because I've been out of practice, but I'm fairly happy with how it turned out.

So... Yeah. Hopefully I'll see you again soon.

Look. A Tree.

The first piece of art I'm putting up: a tree I've been working on. It's my first time using normal maps, and I think it turned out pretty decent.

The texture gets a little funky at the top, but that will probably be concealed once I add leaves to it.The color is a little bland, but I don't think I mind it at the moment since there are no leaves. It makes it look like a dead tree. That's sad. I'll make the texture more colorful once I get the leaves in there.

poly count: 9534
Too many? I don't know. Generally how many polygons is a tree? Well, It can be easily fixed if need be.
